Biography[]
Miles isn’t seen until the last episode of the first Season. After Julia spots a chocolate-covered strawberry under their couch, thanks to Sam Gardner accidentally dropping it when he illegally sneaked into Julia's home as an attempt to woo her, Julia becomes convinced that Miles is cheating on her with another love interest. However, she comes home one night to find that Miles has left her house, and he took the TV with him. Julia, angrily calls him on her phone and asks him to collect his things from her house, only after accidentally injuring her foot. Later, she discovers that she’s pregnant with Mile's baby. At the end of the first Season, Julia arrives home to find Miles in her living room, and Miles proposes to Julia by saying "you win, let's get married".
However, in the third episode of the second Season, Julia calls Miles on her phone, only to discover that Miles has abandoned her and her baby by taking a job with "Doctors Without Borders" in Africa to work on a 2-year internship. He then arrogantly tells her to "text me when the kid's born" before hanging up, leading Julia to conclude to the child "yep, Daddy's a douchebag". Julia ends up taking care of the baby all by herself.
