Sid is a recurring character in Season 3 of Atypical. She’s friends with Sam Gardner and Jasper in the autism group at Denton University. Sid is portrayed by actress Tal Anderson.
Biography[]
In the episode "Cocaine Pills and Pony Meat" of the third Season, Sid meets Sam in the cubicle area of the disability services office. There, she greets Sam in a friendly manner about them being new to Denton University. Furthermore, she reveals to Sam that she majors in the business field.
In the episode "Shrinkage", Sid catches Sam's attention, while he is drawing. She praises his drawing, and she gives him advice to sell his art to make some cash. He refuses to sell his art, since he is obsessed and stingy with collecting and hoarding art.
Later, Sam finds Sid playing against Jasper in a nerdy board game, Battleship. Sam consults with her about his interpersonal struggles. Sid does not offer much sympathy, and she is more interested in defeating Jasper. Sam returns the favor by helping Jasper sink Sid's battleship, since she mostly ignored Sam.
In the episode "You Say You Want a Revolution" of the fourth and final Season, Sid assists Sam on how to fund his airplane trip to Antarctica. She says to Sam that he needs to start a yard sale to sell some of his belongings, which he does not need anymore, to customers to generate as much money as he can. She also says to Sam, "tell you what, I'll give you five bucks for that penguin drawing", as a way to help him understand better in the business world.
